How Describe Car Accident

Palma de Mallorca - Documents - NIE residency card and

If you decide to live in Spain, whether you are citizens Europer or not, one of the first documents you will need to ask is the NIE (Número de Identidad / Identificación de Extranjero). This number is issued to all foreign nationals living in Spanga and is required to work, open a bank account, start a business, buy and sell goods and property and must be entered in virtually any document you will fill in during your Living-/diningroom in Spain. In practice, it is your identification number.

The NIE may take alone or with the residence card, which is compulsory if you intend to spend in Spain for a period exceeding three months. To submit your application you must go personally to the nearest police station which has a department for foreigners. This golf course lies at the bottom of Calle Ciudat Querétaro, Kristian Krekovic past the park. Currently Work is in progress in central, so the best way to get directly to the office you need is to turn around the building and enter the last door. If you enter the front door, you can ask for directions to the officer, who will give you no problems, in English only. Following them, I'm lost! When you finally reach the

correct office, you enter a room where the first, it being queued for a while ', you will face a pretty energetic girl who will give you the paperwork and the number to access the second room. Please note that Charon will give you the authorization to continue your journey with you only if you have everything you need to submit the request. Otherwise you update on what's missing with firm tone and invites you to come back again, even if you've been in line for hours. So be prepared!

Here's what you need:

NIE

• Form to be filled that you can download or receive here knows Charon and fill while you're waiting
• Photocopy of passport / identity card and the original
• Receipt of payment of government tax, which can be paid at any bank branch (only the second visit)

Resident Card

• Form to be filled You can download or receive here knows Charon and fill out while you're waiting
• Photocopy of passport / identity card and the original
• Receipt of payment of state taxes, which may be paid at any bank branch (only the second visit)
• 3 passport photos
• Any document that proves your reason for residence in Spain (if you work the contract of employment, if you study, the registration of the school / university)

My experience was this (I have requested only the NIE)
I went to the police station the first time, I did a little 'tail, I have delivered to fill out the form and number to wait my turn and I could access the mystical finalemte second room, where there are only chairs for people waiting for the board and the next lucky number.
The wait did not seem long, but it may not be reliable since I have spent my time reading the book I had brought and to hear the conversation of those who sat in front of me.
finally my turn! I went over to a free employee, a smiling girl who asked me the form (which I had compiled while I waited), posted my request and gave me a computer in the form of tax to be paid. I was also advised to return another day because I would not have had time to go to the bank and get back before they closed. (There is a bank near the station, but now missing 10 minutes to close the office)
Some say that it is necessary to submit documentation for the NIE in support of the request, but, at least in my case, when I told lady who was looking for work, asked me to add on the form and did not ask me more.

A few days later I resubmitted, I pertecipato tail e.. . Above all as long as I have not been admitted to the presence of an employee, this time a boy. He checked the receipt of tax, has printed a leaflet and disappeared in search of the police chief to make him sign. A few minutes later I was in possession of my Nie and ready to throw in the workplace English!

As for the residence card, which I have not requested, the procedure is the same. The only difference is that the paper is not released immediately, but you will be notified of when it is ready and you have to go back to the police station to collect it personally. Please note that you can not delegate to others for collection. The good news is that you will not have to queue, as they set up a modest office dedicated to the delivery of the cards.

If you decide that this drawing is not your thing, you can contact a specialized agency that will handle the paperwork for you. There can not recommend any, but if you enter NIE in any search engine there's a lot.

Liverpool - Travel - Ferry

If you're in Ireland you can choose to meet Liverpool in the ferry, with the advantage of being able to bring with you your car (if you have one, or if you actually need it). Liverpool vollegata daily both from Dublin, Belfast and across both Duta 7 / 8 hours, weather permitting. When I made my return trip Dublin-Liverpool, the sea was so rough that we were forced to land in another location of the English coast and continue their journey overland by bus made available by company. Luckily I do not suffer from seasickness!

When he finally reached Liverpool, the landing point can vary. Coming from Dublin, we arrive at Brocklebank Dock, north of downtown, so you need (if you do not have your car) for a taxi or a bus to reach your goal. If you come from Belfast, arrives in Birkenhead, across the Mersey River, just opposite the famous Albert Dock's. Hence, in addition to the taxi or bus, you can get to Liverpool by ferry (yes, again! But this time you are traveling with MerseyFerries ) or by train from the nearby station Birkenhead Hamilton Square. For

Palma de Mallorca - Eating out - Bolixe

Spending every day in front of this restaurant because it is just on my way to the center, and I always felt a strong attraction to this place. Maybe because I find nice to see people who eat at any time of day, especially if it is, as in this case, a restaurant that is not on any of the touristy streets of Palma. So I started to wonder how the food was, and I noticed a small screen in a corner of a window, which projects non-stop pictures of delicious, tempting meat dishes. I also always liked the aesthetics of the place, very bright, furnished with tables and chairs very simple, made me think of an elegant place, clean, simple and cozy at the same time.

So when my brother came to spend a week here with me, I have not missed an opportunity to explore this new place with him and a friend. And it was love at first sight.
First of all, even if it were now 23:15 and the restaurant should have closed at 23.30, we were immediately accompanied to the only free table, and the owner welcomed us with a smile most effective I've ever seen in a restaurant. We advised gently a couple of dishes were no longer available and has left us with diligent study of our menu.

I would say that we've taken our time to decide. Here are specialized in meat from the South American way, and all the different options looked so appetizing. In the end we opted for a plate of Pimientos Padron (grilled green peppers sprinkled with coarse salt) and one with five different varieties of local ham as a starter, while main course, my brother chose the Asado de Tira (grilled ribs ), and I and our friend, we launched a Entrecote de cebón (beef), covered with melted cheese. As soon as we ordered, a waitress super smile brought us a drink more than welcome: fresh and sweet vermouth de barricades, along with carrots and bread to be dipped in a mayonnaise and red beets in a sauce of green peppers.
Then we have devoted our energies to our generse portions of meat tender and juicy. All dishes arrived, accompanied by potatoes and red peppers as a side dish, and the quantities were so abundant that I have not had the courage to taste the bread and I also had some difficulty before he could finiorla. All this was accompanied by a robust local merlot. I must confess that I was enormously pleased with my dish, and my companions of them, so that we decided to challenge the amplitude of our stomachs and make room for dessert. Anyway, we went light: I got a lemon sorbet, made with lemons actually true, given the small pieces that abounded there, washed down with a generous splash of vodka, while my brother opted for a vanilla ice cream Catalan Melody (a English liqueur that has the same sweet taste of the same name). But the best part came when the waitress arrived with two bottles of alcohol in his hand, and poured vodka and cream at will, leaving even the bottle of the cream on our table if we had wanted a little '.
And while we taste everything, the clock marked almost one o'clock and yet you could not perceive any sign of impatience from the staff, they were still all smiles and good humor (I hate waiters who make you know that you are not welcome faces wearing body). We asked for the bill, which came with two surprises. The first is that we have offered a digester at our option, and I throw myself on the island's typical liquor, the Hierbas Dulces, similar to our sambuca, the second surprise is that we have spent only 75 € for all the good food el 'attention we received. So we went out, leaving a good tip, but above all very happy with our experience at Bolixe.

When you switch from Palma, I recommend do not miss the chance to eat here. You can visit their official website or their blog for all the information you'll ever need e. .. Bon appetit!

Liverpool - how to get there - flying

If you are not able to land directly in Liverpool, the best alternative is to choose Manchester as a destination. The airport is located about 60 km from Liverpool and there are direct connections available. A
flies arrived at the airport, you can choose to reach Liverpool by train or by bus.

If you prefer the train, you just have to get to the station inside the airport. There is a direct connection to Liverpool Lime Street station which leaves every hour (tickets cost from £ 11) You can check schedules and fares on the website of National Rail Enquiries (in English). Travel time is approximately one hour and ten minutes.

If you opt instead for the bus, you can use National Express Coaches or Excel. Both companies depart from bus station to the airport, but, while Excel Coaches stops right in front of the Liverpool Lime Street Station, National Express is up to the bus station, which still is within walking distance. If you need a taxi to your final destination, they found in quantity in both stops. It should be noted that travel with National Express is much faster (and slightly cheaper, 6.30 pounds against 6.70 of Excel). 50 minutes to get to Liverpool, while Excel Coaches provides at least an hour and a half drive.

Liverpool 2 - Directions - Flying

It's quite easy to get to Liverpool by plane, and economic at the same time!

First, the city has its own airport, the John Lennon (what else if not!), Which is located 14 km southeast of the city center (attached to the district of Speke). The airstrip is located close to the river, and I love to see an expanse of land and water below.

Also it is a small airport, but with many links all over the world. In addition to Ryanair and Easyjet even KLM flies from here to destinations in the United Sati, South America, Africa and the Middle and Far East. Being small, I find it friendly and relaxed atmosphere there: usually there is much confusion and queues are quite small. If you still like to receive special treatment to the controls, you can buy a ticket to the fast lane (fast lane). For £ 3 you can channel them in a special lane and be special guests of Her Majesty. From personal experience, I would say that it is rather pointless, unless you're just in a hurry.
Also, a nice young lady will be happy to provide you with a clear plastic bag for liquids, in case you forgot you had.

airport I've always found this very comfortable, especially the time I forgot to pick up your boarding pass and the whole staff, from check-in at the gate, has worked hard to help me. So much so that eventually I had to wait more than an hour before boarding.
Regarding reach the property, its proximity to the city center gives rise to various possibilities, including taking a taxi for less than 15 pounds, their cars or even bicycles. Yes, because there is a storage for bicycles in the parking lot, and is open all day, every day. You can leave your beloved in one of the lockers, pay a deposit of 20 pounds, and vedervelo refunded when returned the key.

Or you can choose the bus, which remains the most affordable option, except for cycling enthusiasts! With a ticket from 2 pounds, there remains an embarrassment of choice of which bus to use. To the center, you can get on Arriva Airlink 500 (the main transport company has the very auspicious name coming!), Which stops only to the bus station and train station at Lime Street (the main Liverpool). Alternatively you can opt for the numbers 80A, 81A, 82A, 86A or N86 if you travel at night. All of these are city buses and making a innumberevole amount of stops, taking you very, very close to anywhere you have to go. The ticket can be purchased on board, and take care that the travel time can vary greatly, from 20 minutes to an hour at night during times of peak traffic, so, well planned!

If you prefer to use the train, the only disadvantage is that you get only up to the Liverpool South Parkway, then you must continue the rest of the way (10 minutes) with a shuttle bus to the airport, which has a frequency of about 20 minutes.

I hope this information will be helpful and come back soon to find out how else you can reach Liverpool!

Cat Allergies How Long Will Symptoms Last

Palma de Mallorca - La Llave Library

start saying now that this post is a bit 'more personal than others, because I tell you about a place that I love here in Palma. First you should know that I am a fan of personal growth. It is a journey that I undertook some years ago and has proved to be one of the best decisions of my entire life. For this reason, every time I arrive in a new place, I try now a bookshop on the subject, and here I found in Palma La Llave (the key).

able to find in La Calle Estado, is one of the four corners of the Plaza Major, in the most central of the city, so you should not have trouble getting there.

What most struck me about this place is the atmosphere you can breathe. First, space is very bright, not one of those dark libraries that make you want to escape ... and, as a look at various volumes (rather well organized, by the way), you feel at peace and you seem to have all the time in the world.

They even organized a corner where you can sit and browse through the volumes of interest while you decide whether to buy or not.

The first time I was here, now I'm a regular customer, now, I was looking for a very specific book. Not that I had no title or under me, I knew just what I wanted to find in that book, but I had no idea if there was actually something like that out there. So I start looking around and there he is! Just the book I was looking for! As soon as I saw it I immediately felt certain that it was the right one (well, the title itself already gave a clue, 'Ask and you shall receive' by Esther and Jerry Hicks).

Then the owner, a girl with a soft voice and sweet smile helped me to find another way, of course only after being able to play my first gurgles in English!

Since that day, I come here whenever I can, especially because they have a very interesting program related activities.

So if you are in Palma, do not miss the chance to take a look!

Severe Anorexia How Long To Live

Liverpool - Palma de Mallorca

Up there in the north-west England, where the Mersey River meets the sea, lies the city of Liverpool. For centuries the largest port in the United Kingdom was bombed several times during the Second World War, Liverpool has been through many crises, emerging each time even more beautiful than before.

Liverpool is the ninth largest city in England. Receives only about 450,000 inhabitants in the district town, but the number grows to 820,000, taking into account the whole urban area.

The official language is obviously English, even though Liverpool is famous for his accent and his particular dialect, called Scouse, which may create some difficulty in understanding, at first, especially if you're used to English canon. However, a bit 'of practice and patience are enough to get through the maze of this new language. However, despite the prejudices against the British, the Scousers, or officially, the Liverpudlians, people are friendly and chatty, so you should have no difficulty in making friends and a little 'practice.

Getting here is easy. The city is served by its own airport, about an hour away, is that of Manchester. There are ferries to and from Ireland and a network of motorways and railway that connects you to a few hours to Scotland, Wales and virtually anywhere else in English.

The currency is the British pound and the economy relies heavily on services (banking, call centers, government offices), tourism, which has greatly increased in recent years, and entertainment. It should be remembered that Liverpool is a young city, with approximately 40% of the population with less than thirty years, with the result that the supply of pubs, restaurants and affordable is enormous. There are also the sites of two large universities in cities that attract thousands of students each year.
Despite the economic growth of recent years, however, some areas of the city are still classified among the poorest in the nation, and are unpleasant places to live, especially for the high crime rate and social situations that you meet .

The climate here is considered temperate, which means that, on average, the temperature never drops below freezing even in winter. Unfortunately, in the summer tends to not rise above twenty degrees, so mild winters, cool summer ... and rain! Well, the number of rainy days per year exceeds the national average (282 against 154) in my experience, However, rain is often very slight and rarely persists throughout the day. Being a very windy place, the climate is changing very quickly.

Im 14 And I Have A Small Butt

general information - useful information when Home

These are just some information that is worth considering while you're looking for a house in Palma. I refer in particolarfe looking for a room in a shared apartment, but some situations are applicable to any type of home you are looking for.

gastos : is the English equivalent of expenses (bills). Try to understand where it is covered or not and, if so, what are consumers actually taken into account (Usually only water and electricity), otherwise you could just nice surprises at the end of the month.

Fianza : the beloved advance for the room, usually equal to one month or less.

Contract : Note that many hosts do not offer a written contract for the room, but a verbal agreement. The decision is yours, although I am not a supporter of the latter. Good news, however, is that you can find many places that do not require a minimum period of stay in the house, which becomes useful if you intend to assess the lifestyle of Palma and then decide what to do)

Internet : This should not be a problem since the network is almost anywhere in Palma, and there are many providers that offer the service, some even with fiber optics. The offer rate, in contrast, is a bit 'lower than expected, on average between 3 and 6 MB / s. Telefónica offers service to 10 MB / s, but first you need a technician to test that the signal that arrives at home is sufficiently powerful, or able to provide only 3 MB / s.

Washer / dryer : fled an apartment without a washing machine, especially because the Laundry machines are quite rare in Palma and the alternative are classic, but more expensive, or hand wash! The dryer can 'be another advantage, especially if you do not have space to hang clothes (terrace or balcony). However, I Do not lay outside in the summer unless you want to be cooked with the clothes!

Noise: you may seem a sensible idea to live in a side street, but do not forget that the English tend to be a bit 'noisy, especially at night. Risk of ending up submerged by the noises that you never thought possible! (My personal experience is enhanced by the close on the terrace with the TV, never goes to bed before 2.30 and a corner bar who seemed very quiet day ... behold, the day!)

Parking: Plenty of people own a car in Palma, and parking is becoming a bit 'complicated. Make sure your street there is sufficiante space or whether you can use the surrounding species. It is not something to be underestimated because it may take up to half an hour looking for a place to store (in miles from home!).

That said, good luck!

Uggs B(m) And C/d Sizes

trying Palma de Mallorca - Palma de Mallorca

Palma is a pretty big city, but especially is organized in a particular way, due to the presence of the sea. This means that you must carefully plan where you want to live, because even a few hundred meters can make a big difference.
What you see above is a general map of Palma, where I pointed out some important information.

CITTA 'VECCHIA : is the old town of Palma and also its commercial heart. Here you can find all kinds of shops (from international chains like Zara and Freshfield to small independent stores), banks, offices, as well as some exclusive luxury hotel. Abound in this classic sports for tourists: ice cream, bars, some restaurants and the popular fast food chains. There is nothing particularly attractive in this area, unless you leave the main thoroughfares and dig into the side streets, where you can find old buildings preserved in good condition, small hidden squares, churches and parks as well as unexpected.
live in this area may, however, be quite convenient, especially because everything that can serve is at hand and you can reach most important places of Palma just walking.
First, however, there are some details to consider:

Lifestyle : although the center shopping area, this area is particularly stark when the shops are closed (from 2 to 4 pm and after 8 pm, and, it made me upset, Sunday). This means that to find a bar or restaurant open to take a true miracle.
Apartments : Most of the apartments are dated and not kept in good condition. The situation improves if you move towards the sea, but of course also increases the cost of rental. However, sometimes it's worth spending a little 'more to get a decent view. Besides, the area closest to the sea and is being treated more like a walk in his ways: full verse areas, beautiful views, clean and safe.
Auto : remember that in the center of the city the streets are very narrow and many of them are pedestrian area, so access by car and parking can be a little 'problem.

whole area between the old town of Palma and the ring is where, in fact, spent most of the inhabitants of Palma. Although it is not downtown, these areas are full of life and business: there are a huge number of shops, efficiency and services, even more than in the center.
My opinion is that this is the best place to live in Palma, if you have a car or do not have problems using public transport.
The rent is cheaper here and there are many new apartments available close to home shopping abound, so that you can get off, flip-flops on your feet, and shopping at the store next door. The advantage is that many of the shops offer fresh food and the prices are significantly lower than in the city center.

PLAZA DE ESPANA : as I have described in a previous post ( Palma de Mallorca - how to get ), this is the place where you can find all the links within and outside of Palma. Along the way are all located on the bus stops public, while the suburban buses and train station is located underground (above we have a park). From here you can reach all the villages on the island.

BEACHES: If you chose Palma for the sea and beaches, well, here is a little disappointment on arrival: there are only two beaches that can be said to belong to Palma, and are those shown on the map.
The nearest is at the end of the promenade is a public beach and you can lie down anywhere, but you do not expect any service. I recommend you bring a towel and something to eat or drink, why do not you find a bar or shop for miles.
The good news is that you can get there by walking, not very far from downtown, or take the bus. It is not very crowded even during the weekend and there is even a lifeguard during the day to watch over your safety. In addition the sea front of the beach is bordered by a system of buoys that make it impossible to windsurfing and the like the chance to get to the beach. Then you can swim a good distance without fear of any unwanted clash.
The other beach is Cala Major and to get there, you need to take the bus or your own means of transport .. The beach is not very big, but is surrounded by resort tourism, so it tends to be quite crowded in the middle months of summer. The advantage, however, is in having any kind of service you want. This is ideal if you like to be served and revered.
In both beaches, the sea is calm and clean.

CLUBS GAY VILLAGE-HOTEL- : This is the amusement park Palma, along these two routes, Gabriel Roca, Joan Miro, flourish bars, restaurants, pubs and nightclubs (including the famous Pasha) and a hotel behind the other, so the only difficulty that may occur and what to choose.
While the Avenida de Roca Gebriel shows a little 'more chic with clear guidance and entertainment of tourists, the scene along the Avenida Joan Miro is characterized by the massive presence of local people. However, this is a haven of music pubs and restaurants dedicated to exotic cuisines, but at prices much more reasonable.
This district is known as Gomila and is The Gay Village, nothing but a small number of locals and a couple of clubs that come alive mainly of boys and girls of the place. (Gay tourists usually go to Ibiza, where the scene is much more varied).

BEACH: This is a kind of small tourist village whose life revolves solely around the sea and tourists. A place where I would not live if I were you, unless you have chosen to stay in Palma only during the summer months, since winter is pretty desolate. How
neighborhood is quite small, offering only basic services, so if you need anything else, you still have to go by car or bus and head to Palma city center.

Kikker Hardknock Beginners

to live - how to get

Palma de Mallorca is located on an island, so there are only two ways to get there.

The quickest way is to take a plane and land at Palma, which is located about 8 km from the city. The airport is served by many airlines (flag and low cost) and, especially in summer, from tour operators who organize charter flights from several locations. Palma is directly connected with many European countries, but there are no direct links with nations outside Europe except Russia.

To get from the airport to downtown, you can take bus No. 1 (the stop is directly in front of the international arrivals exit). The bus operates from 6:00 am to 2:00 am and has a frequency of about one bus every 10-15 minutes. The cost of the ticket is 2 euro and can be purchased directly on the vehicle asking the driver (who usually speaks at least a bit 'of English and German). This is a city bus, and then makes a large number of stops around the city. The most important is, however, Plaza de Espanya (right after the shopping center El Corte Inglés), where you can find connections with other city buses, buses and trains to destinations outside (the bus station and train station is underground). You can also find an information desk where to get a map of Palma and a partial list of bus lines operating in the city.

If however you do not know the exact bus stop where you get off, ask well as the driver. We will shout something when it's time for you to leave the bus. In any case, every bus is equipped with an LED screen that shows the name of the next stop. The name is repeated by a recorded voice, in both Catalan and English.

The second way to get to Palma is to take a ferry. The port is situated in the south-west of the city and offers regular connections to Barcelona, Valencia, Denia, Ibiza and Menorca. The port can be reached by the majority of city buses, including the line 1-Palma Airport.

Palma de Mallorca - information General

Palma is a city and main port the island of Majorca, and is also the capital of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands (part of Spain, the other islands are Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and the smallest, Cabrera). Palma is located on the south coast of the island in the bay of Palma and has, in its urban area, about 520,000 inhabitants. There are approximately 400,000 people living within the official boundaries of the city.

The official language of the island (and the whole community of the Balearic Islands) is Catalan. English (Castilian) is spoken normally and notices and official forms can be found in both versions (this is not a rule, I found the front door a notice of work being written only in Catalan). The third most commonly spoken language is German, because of the number of tourists and Germans who have chosen the island as their home. Palma is connected to the rest of Europe through a port, where you can find ferries to Spain (Barcelona, Valencia, etc.) and other islands, and an airport located approximately 8 km from the city.

The currency used in the Balearic Islands is the Euro and keep in mind that the economy of Palma is not based solely on tourists, so the southern part of the city is dedicated to hotels and entertainment, while the north is reserved the locals and their businesses. BIOGRAPHICAL DATA

****
Bernie Peyton

This Mega International Origami competition (as we call it by the large number of registered creators) is dedicated to Lord Bernie Peyton, has him as a guest of honor and assigned the role of judge Fee. No doubt many of you know, in fact, the Lord Peyton and his actions, but many have no such knowledge, so in this space we want to bring you something of why Bernie Peyton has inspired us to dedicate this contest what are your qualities and achievements in his long and interesting life.

not want to write a long biography here, but if you establish two fundamental aspects of the life of Bernie Peyton are the same aspects of the Fair, namely, origami and Jucumaris. We do not know if both were born together or if one was before and one after, would have to ask him directly, but if we can credit from today's perspective are seen together and personified it.

From what we know, it is written in some biographical compilations, is that Bernie Payton from the age of 9 he met the origami. Of discretion will not say the date, but we can imagine the young Bernie in the world of models Lillian Oppenheimer, Magicians Harvin and origami Neal Elias and John Nordquist, Fred Rohm and Ligia Montoya and Adolfo American Cerceda; when CPs and their mathematical consequences were just developing in some Japanese village, guided by Isao Honda, Mihara family and arguably Akira Yoshizawa, origami as possibly not so widely called origami but "paperfolding." Maybe Bernie Hiawatha looking diagrams of Neal Elias with the same avidity that young people today are looking for origami diagrams Ryu-Zin.

What happened next? Well I have not very clear, but the young Bernie High School and studied its folded, studying biology in college and turned, he graduated from Harvard University in 1972 and turned, I think their awareness of the problems of life and environmental conservation and folded, he traveled to the Arctic by canoe and numb fingers also doubled, he found his better half and doubled, went and doubled ... and where do you travel? I suppose that many parts of the world, but I assume that no trip will be marked as much as she performs the Peruvian community of Santa Catalina de Chongoyape in 1977 sponsored by the New York Zoological Society (now known as the Wildlife Conservation Society).

Santa Catalina is a farming community located in the department of Lambayaque in the northern region of Peru and its inhabitants are the owners of a vast region that includes a hill called Cerro Chaparri and its surroundings. Bernie Peyton arrived there in 1977, although it started in 1969, when those things in life, a young photographer named Peruvian Heinz Plenge befriended a resident of Chongoyape who told him she had caught a spectacled bear in the hill Chaparri. Heinz found with their own eyes the presence of these ursids on the hill for the first time. Heinz comes nine years after his friend Bernie Peyton, then a graduate student and full investigation of the Andean Bears, to the rural community of Santa Catalina de Chongoyape.

The story of what happened in Santa Catalina is so amazing and exciting that has motivated Bernie Peyton to create a short film "Hands and Claws" where outlines some of these events, the same tells us as follows:

"I returned to Peru in 1999 to find another way to promote the conservation of the spectacled bear, especially in reaching the public has no access or read scientific papers. I was with Heinz Plenge Qoylluriti filming the party (in this religious festival Peruvian ancestral origins, disguised as ukukus beings that are half man, half spectacled bear) and in one of those days, I received a phone call from INRENA (National Institute Natural Resources) advising that they had located a spectacled bear living in the house of a Oxapampa peasant family. I talked with Heinz and he told me that was sure to seize the female and put in a cage. Then take a radical decision ... I bought the bear and we Chaparri jungle. To do this we built a corral electrified to allow us to be adapting to their new environment, but also decided to form a film company to allow me to tell the world this story. Without any knowledge of making movies and the first experience in caring for captive bears, started filming and so was born the movie "Hands and Claws" that we end in 2001. My role was the technical and Heinz were the relations with the community. "

A long and thorough study of bears, proper documentation of their status and many years of work, sweat and heartbreak, culminating in the creation of the first private reserve in Peru. To do so Bernie and Heinz established a remarkable strategy to change the hunting behavior of the inhabitants of nearby Cerro offering the opportunity to work with a group of people devoid of sources of employment and that they did donate the land for conservation. Today, they see themselves as caretakers, guides and protectors of their own reserves: Conservation Area Chaparri Private. Bernie Peyton accompanied these efforts to 1985 and the reserve was properly established in 2001, a seed was planted a sturdy tree.

Peyton In 1984 Bernie received his Master of Science in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana. Although the professional named Bernie moved to other animal species in danger of extinction, as the kit fox, burrowing owl and the kangaroo rat in the desert of San Joaquin in California, his heart remained with the spectacled bear which is evidenced by his presidency of the Andean Bear Specialist Group (1980-1992), shared his presidency in the Group of Specialists Bears of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (1992-1998), director of the International Association of Bear (1995-2001); groups through which he helped to create more protected areas of Jucumari in 5 countries Andean.

In 1995 obtained his Ph.D. in zoology from the University of California at Berkeley. While all these extraordinary events occurred, double and Bernie Peyton. He had not forgotten their inner child of 9 years and the contribution that her grandfather to give him his first origami book, one published in English by Isao Honda.

However, in 1998 another extraordinary event occurred in the life of Bernie Peyton, an event that unites us even more to it like origami. Over many years, a huge buildup of experience in the fold should certainly flourish in another level and certainly no better place than the conventions which, through contact with other origami, wake the sleeping capacity. And it was there in the Origami USA convention where Bernie Peyton, led by Joseph Wu, Robert Lang and other large origami, he discovered his creative spirit. No longer bend the gorgeous models of others, and his hands would cross the adventures of others, the time had arrived, passed down their history by designing their own models and, no doubt, knew which models were going out of its creators hands: those who watched, saw, palp and closer during his life as a scientist.

In the quiet of his home in Berkeley, California, on a bench near a large window and a magnificent view of a garden designed more like Amazon jungle like environment subtropical, began to be born creatures of the forest: bears of all kinds, especially that of spectacles of course, polar bears, pandas, black bears, grizzlies, eagles, snakes, kangaroo rats, frogs, owls, salmon, sharks, elephants, hares, but also environments, leaves, rough seas, turbulent flow of rivers, blue skies, in short, all the elements needed to create a special origami, Bernie who defines it as "something is going to happend!" ("something is about to happen!").

So until today. Countless their contributions to the world of origami, the wonderful models, their workshops, their videos, exhibitions around the world and their participation in various conventions. Without a doubt, the dedication of this contest by Mr Peyton is a tribute to one of our great masters.
