Liverpool - how to get there - flying

If you are not able to land directly in Liverpool, the best alternative is to choose Manchester as a destination. The airport is located about 60 km from Liverpool and there are direct connections available. A
flies arrived at the airport, you can choose to reach Liverpool by train or by bus.

If you prefer the train, you just have to get to the station inside the airport. There is a direct connection to Liverpool Lime Street station which leaves every hour (tickets cost from £ 11) You can check schedules and fares on the website of National Rail Enquiries (in English). Travel time is approximately one hour and ten minutes.

If you opt instead for the bus, you can use National Express Coaches or Excel. Both companies depart from bus station to the airport, but, while Excel Coaches stops right in front of the Liverpool Lime Street Station, National Express is up to the bus station, which still is within walking distance. If you need a taxi to your final destination, they found in quantity in both stops. It should be noted that travel with National Express is much faster (and slightly cheaper, 6.30 pounds against 6.70 of Excel). 50 minutes to get to Liverpool, while Excel Coaches provides at least an hour and a half drive.
